Online Worship Service
- The online service is meant for those who are homebound, sick, or physically unable to attend worship. It is not a convenient option for a busy weekend. It is not a way to enable your absence from God’s house in worship. God has designed us to gather together in order to hear God’s Word, receive the Sacrament, and encourage one another in our faith together. (Hebrews 10:22-25)
- Here are some of the blessings we receive and the promises God makes in his Word when we gather together for worship:
- Mutual encouragement (Hebrews 10:24-25)
- Faith is created and strengthened (Romans 10:17)
- The reception of Jesus’ body and blood with bread and wine assure us of the forgiveness of sins, new life in Christ, and eternal life in heaven (Matthew 26:26-29)
- Fellowship and unity with other Christians (1 Corinthians 10:16-17, Romans 12:4-13)
- Proclamation of forgiveness/absolution (1 John 1:6-9)
- We praise and thank God for his blessings to us (Psalm 24, Psalm 100, Psalm 150)
God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble. Therefore, we will not fear though the earth give way and the mountains fall into the heart of the sea, though its waters roar and foam and the mountains quake with their surging. The LORD Almighty is with us; the God of Jacob is our fortress (Psalm 46:1-3, 7).
